ISTANBUL (AA) – On the last day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, there was traffic congestion on the roads and toll booths at the entrances of Istanbul. Citizens returning home by land after the holiday sometimes created congestion with their vehicles at the entrance and exit points of the city. Vehicles drove slowly in the direction of Anatolian Highway and Northern Marmara Highway to Istanbul, and in Çamlıca Tollbooths and Çatalca location in the direction of Ankara.
According to IMM CepTrafik application data, traffic density in the city increased up to 26 percent. Traffic density on the Anatolian and European sides was measured as 18 percent in the evening hours.
