Skoda added the new compact SUV model Epiq to its fully electric product range. The new model, which made its world premiere, is positioned in the brand’s electric SUV family after Enyaq and Elroq, and will be available for sale in Turkey as of June 2027. Skoda Epiq’s range, battery options and technologies have been announced. Skoda’s new small electric SUV model Epiq will expand its electric product family with the Peaq model that the brand will introduce in the coming period.
Epiq, which has compact dimensions, combines its structure suitable for urban use with large interior volume, high luggage capacity and fast charging support. The version of the model offering the highest range reaches a driving range of approximately 440 kilometers. With fast charging support, the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 24 minutes. Epiq became the first mass production model to fully use Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language.
The front section features a glossy black Tech-Deck surface, the new T-shaped headlight signature and the design lines seen in the Vision 7S concept. These details were carried over to the mass production model with Epiq. The high shoulder line on the side profile, strong lower body structure and roof rails highlight the SUV character of the vehicle. The aerodynamic structure of the new model has also been reconsidered for range efficiency.
Epiq’s drag coefficient was announced as 0.275 Cd, thanks to active air ducts, optimized rim designs, air direction channels and fully organized underbody structure. This value contributes to reducing energy consumption and efficient use of the electric driving range. Skoda Epiq has a length of 4,171 mm, a width of 1,798 mm and a height of 1,581 mm. The 2,601 mm wheelbase offers ample living space for a model in the compact class.
While the trunk volume of the vehicle is announced as 475 liters, there is also an additional storage space of 25 liters in the front section. Thus, Epiq offers a practical structure in both the cabin and loading area in daily use. The Modern Solid design approach continues in the cabin. Epiq’s interior is shaped by its simple control layout, large living space and digital-oriented structure. Sustainable materials also stand out in the interior.
100 percent recycled polyester fibers are used in all textile upholstery. A material called Techtona is preferred instead of leather. Simply Clever details such as the umbrella inside the door, ice scraper and parking ticket holder are also produced from recycled materials. The vehicle contains more than 34 kilograms of recycled materials in total. Epiq offers a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, dual-zone Climatronic air conditioning and wireless phone charging.
Features such as panoramic glass roof, heat pump and tow bar can be preferred. Upper equipment levels also include Matrix LED headlights, illuminated front grille, Canton sound system, panoramic camera system and remote parking support. At the center of the vehicle is the 13-inch Android-based infotainment system. The system, which Skoda positions as a “digital center”, comes with renewed graphics, simplified control structure and application-based home screen design.
In addition to Skoda applications, third-party applications such as Spotify, YouTube and Google Maps can be accessed through the system. Thanks to smartphone integration, mobile devices can be used synchronously with the vehicle. The new Epiq is the first model to use Skoda’s new generation MEB platform. The front-wheel drive model offers a more efficient electric drive structure with its lightweight platform architecture.
Skoda will sell Epiq with two different battery options and three different power versions. The entry-level Epiq 35 and Epiq 40 versions have a lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 38.5 kWh. Epiq 55, which has higher energy density, comes with a nickel-manganese-cobalt battery with a gross capacity of 55 kWh. While Epiq 35 produces 85 kW power, this value increases to 99 kW in Epiq 40. The most powerful option in the series, Epiq 55, offers 155 kW power and 290 Nm torque.
The maximum speed of this version, which reaches a range of approximately 440 kilometers, was announced as 160 km/h. On the charging side, Epiq can increase its battery from 10 percent to 80 percent with fast charging in approximately 24 minutes. The model also includes 11 kW AC charging support as standard. Epiq was also one of the first Skoda models to support bi-directional charging technology. Thanks to this feature, the energy in the vehicle battery can be transferred outside.
When appropriate infrastructure is used, energy can be supplied to the house or the electricity grid. Epiq also stands out as the brand’s first electric model that offers single-pedal driving. On the safety and driving support systems side, Epiq comes with a comprehensive equipment list in the compact class. Front Braking Assist, Lane Change Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition System are offered as standard in the model.
Predictive Speed Limiter, Smart Speed Limiter and Driver Alert System, which detects signs of fatigue by monitoring the driver’s eye movements, are also among the equipment. Equipped with seven airbags, Epiq also has a center airbag as standard. The optional Travel Assist 3.0 system can provide support in traffic congestion, detect traffic lights and stop the vehicle completely when necessary. Working with new generation corner radars, Front Cross Traffic Assist increases safety, especially at intersections, by detecting cars, motorcycles, bicycles and electric scooter users approaching from the side.
Skoda Epiq will be available for sale in Turkey as of June 2027. The model will be the brand’s new representative in the electric compact SUV class, with a range of up to 440 kilometers, fast charging support, MEB platform, bi-directional charging technology and extensive safety equipment.
