The huge architectural structure that Middle Earth fans have been dreaming of for many years is finally coming true and is getting ready to take its place on the shelves as the largest Lord of the Rings set ever produced with the LEGO Minas Tirith design. This iconic castle, also known as the “White City” and the capital of Gondor, has great spiritual value for fans of the series as it was the center of the Battle of the Pelennor Fields in the Return of the King movie and the place where Aragorn was crowned King Elessar.

With this massive set, LEGO celebrates the 25th anniversary of the movie and offers collectors a unique building experience. Breaking Records with the Number of Pieces: This enormous set, consisting of 8,278 pieces, is one of the largest sets not only in its own series, but also in LEGO history. So much so that this number of pieces makes Minas Tirith the fourth largest set on sale worldwide after the Eiffel Tower, Titanic and Death Star sets.

With its dimensions reaching approximately 59 cm in height, 62 cm in width and 37 cm in depth, it turns into an exhibition piece when completed. This set, which stands out with its price tag of $649.99, is specially designed for collectors aged 18 and over. A Unique Design in Both Micro and Minifigure Scale LEGO designers followed a very creative method to fit the seven-storey huge structure of Minas Tirith and the width of the city into a single box.

While the outer walls and general silhouette of the city were built on a “micro scale” to avoid loss of detail; Interior spaces such as the courtyard where the White Tree is located and the throne room in the Citadel are designed to a scale that can fit minifigures. In this way, the huge size of the city was preserved and the opportunity to recreate iconic scenes indoors was provided. Legendary Characters and Special Gifts The set includes 10 of the most popular characters of Middle Earth as minifigures.

Gandalf the White, Aragorn in the armor of King Elessar, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took (Pippin), Arwen and four Gondor soldiers are ready to defend the city or perform the coronation ceremony. Additionally, “Grond” (Set) is offered in limited quantities with the set. Grond, the huge wolf-headed battering ram used to destroy the walls in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, is the perfect complement to this huge set.

The LEGO Minas Tirith set, which will be released on June 1 for LEGO Insiders and on June 4 for general sale, will be the most magnificent part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Fellowship of the Ring movie. This new castle, which will be added to legendary sets such as Rivendell and Barad-dûr, is a candidate to be the most valuable piece of the collection for Middle Earth enthusiasts.
