While “The X-Files”, one of the legendary productions of the science fiction world, is preparing to rise from the ashes, the development that excited The X-Files fans the most was undoubtedly the positive signals coming from Gillian Anderson. As part of the Hulu platform’s strategy to revive cult productions with modern touches, the countdown has begun for the reboot project prepared under the guidance of Oscar-winning director Ryan Coogler.
Anderson, who played the character of Agent Dana Scully in the original series and identified with this role, broke her silence about the script and director Coogler of the new project and gave the green light. Full Marks from Gillian Anderson to the Pilot Episode Gillian Anderson, who gave a candid interview to journalist Dory Jackson at the Awesome Con event, confirmed that they had several meetings with Ryan Coogler about the future of the project.
While Anderson described Coogler as “an incredibly talented and cool guy,” he emphasized that the pilot episode script was “really good.” The famous actress addressed the fans and stated that the project should be evaluated without prejudice: “Be open-minded and give this project a chance, because it will be really cool. “The narrative this time is very different and special.” @dory_jackson Gillian Anderson spoke with me (!!!) at Awesome Con in DC on Sunday, March 15 for a career-spanning chat.
And of course, I HAD to ask her about This location, where the first five seasons of the original series were shot, is considered the best choice to revive the spirit of the X-Files with its foggy atmosphere and mysterious texture. New Generation Agents and Ethnic Diversity While the new X-Files inherits the legacy of the past, it also incorporates the dynamics of the modern world into its story. The project, in which Danielle Deadwyler was cast as one of the leading roles, is about two FBI agents with completely different characters and abilities being assigned to a department that has been closed for a long time and is devoted to unexplained phenomena.
The casting process of the series signals that the story will be intertwined with local people and indigenous cultures. Characters sought for the pilot episode include indigenous figures such as ten-year-old Salkow, and 30-somethings Willie and Jenn. This proves that Coogler’s signature style, which blends cultural texture with fantastic elements, will also be reflected in the X-Files universe. The production, which does not yet have an official release date, will continue to say “The truth is out there” by bringing together both the experience of the old lands and the dynamism of the new generation.
