The autonomous kamikaze unmanned marine vehicle (KİDA) CELLAT, developed to eliminate threats in the “Blue Homeland”, was exhibited for the first time at the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair. SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair, organized by SAHA Istanbul, Turkey’s and Europe’s largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster, started at the Istanbul Expo Center with the global communication partnership of Anadolu Agency.
Kayacı Defense, which draws attention with its work on unmanned marine vehicles, showcased its new product CELLAT KİDA for the first time at the fair. CELLAT KİDA is 5 meters long and 1.7 meters wide. CELLAT, which has a speed of approximately 50 knots and a range of 450 nautical miles, can operate with a payload of 500 kilograms. CELLAT, developed entirely with local and national resources in university-industry cooperation, is an example of Anatolian capital, academic knowledge and entrepreneurship.
Hakan Kayacı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayacı Defense, said in his statement to the AA correspondent that they developed CELLAT KİDA after the unmanned marine vehicle OKHAN. Stating that they have been working on the project for about a year, Kayacı said, “We have been continuously testing our unmanned marine vehicle in the field with our Presidency of Defense Industries and Coast Guard Command for 3-4 years.
Based on the recent events in the Gulf and the Ukrainian war, we believed that our country needs unmanned systems more than the world needs. In line with our President’s vision of the Turkey Century, we worked to produce such a product and serve our country as an SME in the defense industry, the ‘Anatolian Tiger’. We have worked to produce such a product and serve our country with its real values.” “We will exhibit it in 2026.” he said.
Emphasizing that CELLAT is especially assertive with its low visibility feature, Kayacı stated that its 50 knot speed and payload and ammunition carrying capacity of up to 500 kilograms also provide an important operational capability. Stating that they were able to direct to the desired target without any range limit with the satellite communication system integration, Kayacı stated that they created CELLAT by transferring the infrastructure of unmanned marine vehicles here.
Kayacı said: “Hopefully, it will be a product that will compete economically in the world. We made short tests of the product and will do our big test immediately after the fair. We will probably have it ready for duty within 2 months. We are so assertive and fast. We have no outside support whatsoever. We did it in our own workshop, from the software to the manufacturing of the boat. We brought it here secretly, and we are unveiling it for the first time here.
I believe that we will move forward in a way that will hopefully fulfill our name and represent our Turkey.”, Source: AA 📌Kamikaze unmanned marine vehicle EXECUTOR,
