In line with the discounted parking application implemented by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of its sustainable city vision, 50 percent discount support is provided to approximately 3,300 fully electric vehicles in a total of 62 car parks, including 11 open, 20 closed and 31 roadside car parks. In addition, a total of 47 charging stations in the parking lots continue to serve electric vehicle users, while the municipality supports economical and environmentally friendly transportation with this application.
RELATIVES OF MARTYRS AND VETERANS ALSO BENEFIT While citizens who own fully electric vehicles state that they are very satisfied with this service of the municipality, the aim is to reduce carbon emissions in the city with the cooperation of the municipality and citizens. In addition, in line with its social municipalism approach, the municipality allows relatives of martyrs, veterans and spouses of veterans to use these car parks free of charge.
In addition, the orphaned children of the martyrs and their parents can also benefit from this right. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION: In order to benefit from this opportunity, electric vehicle owners must apply to İZELMAN General Directorate with a photocopy of the vehicle license and ID card. Applications can be made in person by going to İZELMAN General Directorate between 08.30 and 17.30 on weekdays.
