Within the scope of SAHA 2026, a delegation consisting of high-level officials of foreign countries present at the fair visited and inspected TCG Anadolu, anchored off the coast of Ataköy. SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair is being held at Istanbul Expo Center with the organization of Turkey’s and Europe’s largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster, SAHA Istanbul. Within the scope of the fair, where Anadolu Agency (AA) is the Global Communication Partner, the delegation consisting of high-level officials of foreign countries participating in SAHA 2026 visited TCG Anadolu, one of the symbolic platforms of the Turkish defense industry, anchored off the coast of Ataköy.
The delegation participating in the visit included minister-level representatives from Nigeria, admiral-level representatives from South Korea and Portugal, general-level representatives from Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, while high-level officials from Japan, Guatemala, Spain, Croatia, Jordan, Lithuania, Algeria, Romania and Turkmenistan were also included in the delegation. As part of the visit off the coast of Ataköy, military and civilian delegations inspected TCG Anadolu, Turkey’s multi-purpose amphibious assault ship.
The authorities were given detailed information about the ship’s technical capabilities, operational capacity and mission concept. The ship, which stands out with its integrated operation capability with unmanned aerial vehicles, amphibious operation capabilities and versatile usage capacity, was examined by the foreign delegation. The visit provided opportunities for the delegation to observe Turkey’s technological progress in the defense industry on site.
The contacts held within the scope of SAHA 2026, which aims to increase international cooperation, are expected to contribute to the development of relations between Türkiye and different countries in the field of defense and technology. Source: AA
