Hyundai Motor Company won the 2022 GOOD DESIGN awards in the transportation category with its SEVEN and Trailer Drone concepts, which it introduced last year and is a reflection of the future IONIQ 7 model.
Hyundai, Plug
Opening a new page for the fully electric IONIQ brand with these stylish concepts, Hyundai has now attracted the attention of designers with SEVEN, the concept version of the Hyundai IONIQ 7, which is planned to be introduced next year. By transforming a traditional SUV into an innovative living space, Hyundai shows that it prioritizes user values above industry norms.
The Trailer Drone concept is a mobility concept that can operate completely autonomously with its twin e-Bogie configuration and move sideways in an almost train-like pattern. This vehicle, which provides unprecedented maneuverability, is actually a hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle of the future.
Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous driving are also removing the boundaries between cars and robots. PnD (Plug)
PnD L7 stands out as the groundbreaking robotics-based mobility solution of the future. The concept robot, which requires minimum space for movement and parking, offers a more suitable use for urban applications. Inspired by the legendary Apollo space shuttle in its design, L7 expands the scope of human mobility with the simple and useful solutions it offers.
MobED, on the other hand, is a four-wheel module that combines steering, motion control and braking systems in a single structure. While MobED’s minimalist design emphasizes its unique mechanism, it also determines its driving direction with pixel lighting all over its body and informs it in advance which direction it will move.
With these important design awards, Hyundai once again proves that it acts in accordance with its vision of “Progress for Humanity”.
