Doblo, one of Fiat’s most popular models in the light commercial vehicle segment, will start to be produced in Turkey again after a break of approximately three years. It was stated that the new Doblo, which will be produced in Tofaş’s Bursa factory, will start to roll off the line in the third quarter of this year. While Doblo’s resumption of production in Bursa is considered an important development for Tofaş and the Turkish automotive industry, it is also thought to contribute to Fiat’s growth targets in the light commercial vehicle segment.
INCREASED MORE THAN DOUBLE Fiat Brand Director Altan Aytaç, in his statement on the subject, drew attention to Doblo’s sales performance and stated that the model maintains its leadership in the minivan segment. According to the information obtained, the company sold 10 thousand 507 Doblo units in the January-April period of this year. Thus, the brand’s sales more than doubled compared to the same period last year. The model maintained its leading position in the minivan segment with a market share of 23.7 percent.
The company management emphasized that the logistics and cost advantages provided by domestic production will increase the brand’s competitiveness in the market, and stated that the fact that the model will be produced in Bursa again will have a positive impact on sales. OVER 600 THOUSANDS WERE SOLD On the other hand, the company continues to grow in the light commercial vehicle segment with Scudo and Ulysse models, as well as Doblo.
Fiat announced that the light commercial vehicle market grew by 9 percent in the January-April period of 2026, while it managed to increase its sales by 69 percent. The company also reached 26.1 percent market share in the medium commercial vehicle segment. While Doblo was first produced in Tofaş facilities in Bursa in 2000, it has managed to become one of the most preferred light commercial vehicles in Turkey in the past 26 years.
Doblo, which has reached more than 600 thousand users since its launch in Turkey, has also won many awards internationally. The return to domestic production of the model, whose production was stopped in Bursa in 2023, was among the notable developments in the automotive industry.
