Spanish technology giant Indra signed a contract to supply the Lanza 3D radar system to the Royal Thai Navy. The radar will be installed at the Sattahip naval base, one of Thailand’s main strategically important facilities, to support airspace and maritime surveillance. According to the statement made by the company, the system will provide detection and tracking capabilities against various aerial threats, including small unmanned systems.

The radar, which operates in L-band and is equipped with AESA technology, is designed to exhibit high performance, especially in high humidity environments. In addition to the radar system, the contract also includes command and control stations that will support operational coordination and mission management. This agreement is the first radar contract signed by Indra, which has previously made deliveries to the Royal Thai Air Force, with the Royal Thai Navy.
