Meta made a significant change in the social media ecosystem and launched the paid subscription model for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp on a global scale. The new system, offered under the name “Plus”, draws attention with its additional features and personalization options that expand the user experience. According to the new application, monthly subscription packages are offered for Instagram and Facebook at approximately $3.99 and for WhatsApp at $2.99.
These packages will provide additional functionality without changing the basic usage structure of the platforms. As part of the Instagram Plus subscription, users can access more detailed analysis of story performance. Additional features such as seeing the number of rewatches of stories, creating larger viewer lists, and extending content beyond the 24-hour limit stand out. Profile customization tools are also available for paid subscribers.
While there are additional tools focused on interaction and visibility on the Facebook Plus side, WhatsApp Plus subscription offers theme options, special notification sounds, additional fixed chat areas and advanced personalization features. Meta’s new strategy includes not only social media applications but also artificial intelligence-supported services. It was stated that the new subscription models developed under the umbrella of “Meta One” are scaled according to different user profiles and offer more advanced processing capacity and content tools.
It was reported that the company is also working on separate professional packages for content producers and businesses, and that these models are continuing their testing processes in certain markets.
