Remote firing system that can be installed by a single personnel is ready for duty

New generation systems aiming to increase the safety of personnel in the field with remotely controlled fire control solutions will be introduced at SAHA 2026.

New generation systems aiming to increase the safety of personnel in the field with remotely controlled fire control solutions will be introduced at SAHA 2026. SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair, organized by SAHA Istanbul, Turkey’s and Europe’s largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster, will be held at Istanbul Expo Center on 5-9 May. In the 13th news of Anadolu Agency’s file titled “The heart of technology will beat in the FIELD”, the Pro-Mavzer remote fire control system developed by Promec within the Turkish defense industry was included.

Promec Business Development and Foreign Trade Manager Oğuz Ünlü, in his statement to AA correspondent, said that the company develops solutions built on its engineering-based knowledge. Stating that he built his work for the defense industry on a long-standing engineering infrastructure, Ünlü said, “Promec is an engineering company established in 2014. We started our activities with mechanical design activities. Later, we can say that we organized to support the defense industry with electromechanical systems, guidance systems and tripods.” Nearly 130 people work in our company.

Nearly half of them are engineers and we have an R&D team of 50 people. “We both develop products and produce our own products and provide them to our customers as project partners.” he said. Explaining that Pro-Mavzer was developed to increase the safety of personnel in the field, Ünlü stated that the needs in the operation field were decisive in the emergence of the system. Stating that high firepower alone is not enough in modern combat environments, Ünlü gave the following information about the main purpose of the system: “Pro-Mauser remote fire control system is a fire control system that a single infantryman can easily set up using his own weapon and command it remotely.

In today’s battlefield, high shooting ability alone does not bring success. In addition, target detection, identification and operator safety are also important. Providing these together brings success in the operational field.” Emphasizing that Pro-Mavzer is an integrated system solution as well as a weapon platform, Ünlü stated that the sub-components on the system were developed in accordance with military standards.

Sharing the technical details about the surveillance and guidance capabilities of the system, Ünlü said: “There is a camera system on the system. The operator can perform surveillance by remote command. At the same time, there is a guidance unit on the system. This unit can move 360 degrees on the horizontal axis and has a movement capacity of plus or minus 45 degrees on the vertical axis. Since all components, including the tripod, electro-optical system and weapon, are produced in military standards, it can be used in all weather and land conditions.” “The system is ready to go into the field in its entirety” Stating that Pro-Mavzer has reached the maturity level after an intensive development process of approximately two years, Oğuz Ünlü said that the system has now reached a level that can be used in the field.

Ünlü said, “Since this is a complete system, all subsystems such as tripod, electro-optical system and weapon must work together in harmony. We think that we have achieved this this year. The sub-components of the system are individually proven products in the field. However, we evaluate that they will now be in the field within the integrity of the system.” he said. Ünlü stated that Pro-Mavzer was designed to be compatible with different infantry rifles and explained that the product has a flexible integration structure.

Ünlü said, “The general purpose of our design here is to be able to mount any infantry rifle here. We are in a position to make the necessary interface arrangements according to the type of weapon to be used.” he said. Stating that Promec takes an active role in many projects in the defense industry, Ünlü noted that Pro-Mavzer will be presented to the project partners within the scope of SAHA 2026 as one of the important outputs of these studies.
