STM Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc., which develops national technologies for Turkey’s fully independent defense industry goals, carries its experience in tactical and autonomous systems to the strategic level. STM has brought a national and local breath to long-range strike UAV systems, whose influence is increasing day by day in the modern warfare field and has come to the fore especially in the Iran-Israel war.
STM unveiled the Long Range Kamikaze UAV System KUZGUN for the first time. STM shared for the first time the images of the system, which completed its design phases and successfully completed its first flights. STM will exhibit its Long Range Kamikaze UAV for the first time at SAHA-2026. “National Deterrence in Strategic Targets” STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz emphasized the deep operational capability of the platform and said: “Global and regional crises have once again demonstrated the decisive role of long-range and cost-effective strike forces in the battlefield.
As STM, we aim to take our country’s strategic deterrence to the next level with our Long Range Kamikaze UAV System KUZGUN, which we developed for this need.” With its range capacity exceeding 1000 kilometers and its highly effective warhead, this system; It will be capable of neutralizing critical targets autonomously, from command centers to air defense and radar elements. “KUZGUN, equipped with our national software, with our electronic warfare resistant navigation system and low altitude flight capability, will operate with full accuracy even in the most challenging geographies.” Runway Independent, Deep Strike Ability KUZGUN, named after the bird species known for its sharp intelligence, high observation ability and strategic speed in nature, aims to be a silent but effective force multiplier in the modern battlefield.
Designed for cross-border operations and critical targets behind enemy lines, the system offers high survivability thanks to its aerodynamic structure. The system, which can perform rocket-assisted take-off (RATO) via mobile land platforms or fixed launchers, without the need for any runway infrastructure, maximizes operational flexibility. With its airborne duration of more than 6 hours, it provides the opportunity to quickly and effectively attack targets at long distances.
Electronic Warfare Resistant and Fully Autonomous Optimized for conflict zones where intense GNSS jamming occurs, KUZGUN stands out with its jamming-resistant navigation architecture. The system, which can perform fully autonomous flight in line with predefined route and target information, reaches its target with its GNSS-supported precise coordinate diving ability. KUZGUN, which has high speed despite its total weight of 200 kg, aims to be an indispensable element of strategic operations with its ammunition with high destructive power.
KUZGUN UMK – Technical Specifications • Flight Range: 1000 km • Flight Duration: 6 Hours • Takeoff Weight: 200 kg • Mission Altitude: 3500 m (MSL)
