ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker stated that the highest number of booked passengers in the company’s history will be reached by serving more than 305 thousand passengers with 1867 flights planned to be operated on May 31. In his statement on his social media account, Şeker stated that THY’s operations continued smoothly despite the passenger density during Eid al-Adha.

Stating that they came together with their colleagues on duty at Istanbul Airport on the second day of the Eid and shared the joy of the holiday, Şeker said, “As the THY family, we are working with all our strength to transport our guests to their loved ones safely and comfortably during Eid al-Adha, which we celebrate with great enthusiasm.” he said. Şeker gave the following information about the flights and passenger numbers that THY will organize during the holiday: “Together, THY and AJet planned a total of 16 thousand 544 flights, 10 thousand 34 of which are international flights (326 of which are additional flights) and 6 thousand 510 of which are domestic flights (499 of which are additional flights), during the holiday period covering 22-31 May.
