LG added the 45GX950B-B model to the UltraGear evo AI series. The new gaming monitor, which comes with a 44.5-inch curved OLED panel, offers a 165 Hz refresh rate with 5K2K resolution of 5120 × 2160 pixels. The 330 Hz side of the model comes into play when switching to 2560×1080 resolution via Dual Mode, not at full resolution. What does LG UltraGear evo AI 45GX950B-B offer? LG UltraGear evo AI 45GX950B-B comes with a 44.5 inch OLED panel with 21: 9 aspect ratio.

The monitor features 800R curvature, 5120 × 2160 pixels 5K2K resolution, Micro Lens Array supported OLED structure, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and 98.5 percent coverage in the DCI-P3 color space. The standard brightness value of the panel is listed as 275 cd/m², and the peak brightness value is listed as 1300 cd/m² at 1.5 APL measurement. The most striking aspect of the new model is Dual Mode support.

Users can use 165 Hz mode at 5120×2160 resolution in games where graphics quality stands out. In FPS type games where a higher refresh rate is important, the resolution is reduced to 2560×1080 and switched to 330 Hz. For this transition, LG offers different screen size options from 39 inches to 24.5 inches and 21:9 and 16:9 aspect ratio options. Switching can be done via the physical hotkey. The monitor has a 0.03 ms GTG response time.

On the variable refresh rate side, there is support for VESA Adaptive-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible. This structure matches the frame rate and refresh rate to reduce problems such as screen tearing and stuttering. The 45GX950B-B stands out as the updated version of the previous 45GX950A model. While the panel and basic screen features are largely preserved, the new model comes under the UltraGear evo AI brand.

AI Upscaling, AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound features have been added in this version. On the speaker side, a 7W 7W stereo speaker is used instead of the 10W 10W structure in the previous model. The AI Upscaling feature upscales low-resolution content to 5K2K level with the monitor’s internal processor. According to LG’s statement, this process can work on images from any device. The company also states that the final image quality varies depending on the quality of the input signal.

AI Scene Optimization automatically changes the image settings by detecting the content on the screen. The system optimizes the screen according to different types of content such as documents, animations, movies, games and sports. AI Sound, on the other hand, separates sounds, effects and background music, offering a clearer audio experience through the built-in speaker or headphones connected to the monitor. On the connection side, there is DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI inputs, USB Type-C, two USB 3.0 downstream connections and a 4-pole headphone/microphone input.

USB Type-C connection provides image transfer, data transfer and USB Power Delivery support up to 90W. The monitor also has features such as PBP, PIP, hardware calibration, factory calibration, FPS counter, Black Stabilizer, Crosshair and OLED Care. On the design side, there is 120 mm height adjustment, tilt adjustment between -10 degrees and 15 degrees and right-left 10-degree rotation support. The monitor has 100×100 VESA mounting support.

The frameless design on four sides and the slim body are among the prominent details on the technical page of the model. LG UltraGear evo AI 45GX950B-B is available for pre-order in Japan. The list price of the model in Japan is 329,800 yen (95 thousand TL). During the pre-order period, the price was reduced to 259,800 yen (75 thousand TL). Shipments are expected to begin on June 11, 2026. There is no clear statement yet for the monitor’s release date in other markets and its price in Türkiye.
