While preparations for the sacrifice and holiday shopping continue before Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated between 27-30 May this year, social support efforts for those in need continue across the country. In this context, Siirt Municipality provided various aid to needy families and orphan children in the city. In the statement made by the municipality, it was stated that support was provided to needy households and orphan children in different areas within the framework of social aid activities carried out within the scope of Eid al-Adha.
In this regard, it was stated that 210 children were given holiday clothing support, and the assistance provided by the municipality was appreciated by the citizens. SET AN EXAMPLE On the other hand, citizens in need who made a statement on the issue thanked Siirt Municipality for the support it provided. Citizens stated that they had difficulty in meeting their needs due to financial difficulties before Eid al-Adha, but they would spend the Eid more comfortably thanks to the support of the municipality.
While the holiday support provided by Siirt Municipality is expected to be an example for other provincial and district municipalities, it is expected that municipalities across the country will increase their financial and in-kind aid to needy and low-income citizens in the few days before the holiday.
