ANKARA (AA) – Citizens who are in Ankara during the holiday spend time in parks and gardens.
After the Eid al-Adha holiday was extended to 9 days, many people preferred to go to holiday regions or their hometowns.
Those who spent the holiday in Ankara went to Mogan Lake and Blue Lake, as well as recreation areas and parks. Citizens had a pleasant time with their families in picnic areas and parks.
Citizens who picnicked, walked and cycled enjoyed the holiday. While children spent time in the playgrounds, some citizens chose to relax by the lake.
Stating that he came from Konya to visit his family and relatives in Ankara, Ali Gedik said, “We are happy to be together. The purpose is to share and eat together. Then everything becomes beautiful, the meaning of the holiday is to be together. We wish you happy holidays. he said.
Murat Keskin from Artvin, who stated that they consumed the meat of the sacrificed animal, said: “We are trying to satisfy our homesickness here when we cannot go to our country.” he said.
