DIYARBAKIR (AA) – Eid al-Adha prayers were performed in mosques in Diyarbakır, Siirt, Batman, Mardin and Elazığ. Citizens lined up for the Eid prayer at the Grand Mosque, known as the 5th Harem-i Şerif of the Islamic world, in the central Sur district of Diyarbakır. Candy was offered to citizens as they exited the mosque. – Siirt In Siirt, citizens gathered in the mosques in the city. Citizens who came to the Ensar Mosque in the Central Bahçelievler District performed the Eid prayer.
After the sermons and prayers, candies were offered to the celebrating citizens. – Batman In Batman, many citizens came to Hamidiye Mosque to perform the Eid prayer. Citizens who performed the Eid prayer listened to the sermon emphasizing the importance of sacrificial worship and sharing. The congregation prayed and celebrated at the end of the program. – Mardin Citizens who came to Şakir Nuhoğlu Mosque in the central Artuklu district of Mardin listened to the sermon.
Governor Tuncay Akkoyun, AK Party Mardin Deputy Faruk Kılıç, Artuklu District Governor Muhammet Öztabak, Deputy Governor Mehmet Naim Akgül and citizens lined up for prayer. After the prayer, a prayer was said. Akkoyun and Kılıç celebrated with the citizens. – Elazığ Citizens filled the mosques to perform the Eid al-Adha prayer in Elazığ. The congregation, who came to Izzetpaşa Mosque to perform the Eid prayer, stood in line after the sermon.
After the prayer, the sermon was read and prayers were said. Later, Elazığ Deputy Governor Ömer Özbay, Chamber of Commerce and Industry President İdris Alan and citizens celebrated Eid in the mosque. Eid candy and cologne were offered to the mosque community.
