The first quarter of 2026 in the OLED monitor market closed with strong growth on an annual basis, despite the quarterly decline. According to TrendForce data, while global OLED monitor shipments decreased by 11 percent in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the previous quarter, they increased by 78 percent compared to the same period last year. The growth was driven by the increase in QD-OLED panel supply and brands filling the gaps in the market with new models.
The QD-OLED effect is growing in the OLED monitor market. According to TrendForce’s research, the OLED monitor market experienced the effect of seasonal slowdown in the first quarter of 2026. Strong campaigns in the fourth quarter of 2025 also brought forward some of the demand. Therefore, shipments fell 11 percent quarterly. However, the annual picture progressed differently and global OLED monitor shipments grew by 78 percent.
One of the main elements of this growth was the increase in QD-OLED panel supply. The increased supply of panels has enabled new players entering the market to increase their shipment volume. Thus, product diversity increased on the OLED monitor side and brands became more visible in different prices and segments. In the first quarter of 2026, ASUS maintained its leadership in the OLED monitor market with a 24 percent market share.
The brand’s wide OLED product range was decisive in this result. ASUS launched a 34-inch gaming monitor with a 360 Hz refresh rate in the quarter. In the same period, the company expanded its presence in the mobile display category with the 16-inch portable OLED monitor model. Samsung ranked second with a 16.4 percent market share. The company’s own QD-OLED panel resources and experience in the high-end display market supported its shipments in the first quarter of 2026.
Samsung’s special models offering 27-inch QHD resolution and 180 Hz refresh rate also contributed to the sales performance in this period. There was a very narrow difference between the third and fourth places. MSI ranked third with a market share of 12.2 percent. AOC/Philips came in fourth with a market share of 12.1 percent. The difference between the two brands remained at only 0.1 points. On the MSI side, stable shipments of 31.5 inch models stood out.
The brand also expanded its product range for both the commercial monitor segment and high-end gaming monitors. A 27-inch UHD commercial monitor and a 34-inch, 360 Hz refresh rate gaming monitor were introduced in the first quarter. This product expansion was effective in MSI’s rise to third place. AOC/Philips concentrated on the 27-inch QHD segment. The brand increased its shipment volume with aggressively priced entry-level models.
This strategy enabled AOC/Philips to strengthen its market position in the first quarter. The fact that its market share was very close to MSI showed that the brand remained strong in the competition for the top positions. LG Electronics ranked fifth with a market share of 9.1 percent. The company launched the 39-inch WUHD resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate OLED monitor model in the first quarter. This model is expected to make a more significant contribution to second quarter shipments.
LG Electronics’ main strength on the OLED monitor side is concentrated in ultra-wide models. Ultrawide products accounted for 40 percent of the company’s shipments in the first quarter of 2026. It is stated that this rate will approach 45 percent in the second quarter with the impact of new products. The first quarter table in the OLED monitor market showed that panel supply and product diversity directly shape the competition.
The expansion in QD-OLED panel supply has enabled brands to enter the market with more models. While ASUS maintained its leadership, Samsung maintained its second place. The narrow gap between MSI and AOC/Philips revealed that the mid-upper segment OLED monitor competition will be closer throughout the rest of the year.
