KOCAELİ (AA) – The mother and her 2 children, who were affected by the smoke in the fire that broke out in an apartment in Kocaeli, were treated.

A fire broke out in the flat on the fourth floor of a 5-storey apartment building in Yakut Street, Bağlarbaşı District, Darıca district, for an unknown reason.

Upon notice, fire brigade, health and police teams were dispatched to the area.

While the fire was extinguished with the intervention of fire brigade personnel, the mother and her 2 children trapped in the building were rescued using a ladder vehicle.

The mother and her children, affected by the smoke, were taken to Darıca Farabi Training and Research Hospital.
