Apple AirDrop allows users to quickly share photos, videos and other files with people nearby. On the Android side, Quick Share offers a similar function. Last year, during the introduction of the Pixel 10 series, Google announced that its newest Android smartphones could work with AirDrop via Quick Share. In this way, users can benefit from cross-platform file sharing features. For example, Android phones can send photos and videos to iPhones, just like iPhones do with AirDrop between themselves.
Since then, Google has slowly started to offer AirDrop support to more Android devices via Quick Share. This includes Android phones from third-party manufacturers like Samsung. Google rolled out the feature for many new devices this week. Here is the current list of devices that currently support AirDrop.
