Sony started a new era in PlayStation Plus Türkiye prices. 1-month, 3-month and 12-month subscription options for Essential, Extra and Deluxe packages have been increased. In the global announcement, it was announced that the prices of 1-month and 3-month PlayStation Plus subscriptions have increased in selected regions as of May 20. New starting prices were announced as $ 10.99 for a 1-month subscription and $ 27.99 for a 3-month subscription in the USA. While it was shared that the prices would be maintained for existing subscribers, Türkiye and India were excluded from this scope. The current price list in Turkey shows that the increase is not limited to short-term subscriptions.
In PlayStation Store Turkey, the Essential package’s 1-month subscription is listed as 400 TL, 3-month subscription is listed as 1,020 TL, and 12-month subscription is listed as 2,890 TL. On the Extra package side, 1-month subscription increased to 600 TL, 3-month subscription increased to 1,660 TL, and 12-month subscription increased to 4,810 TL. In the Deluxe package, 1-month subscription was 710 TL, 3-month subscription was 1,960 TL, and 12-month subscription was 5,560 TL.
Before the increase, the Essential package was sold for 1 month at 270 TL, 3 months at 710 TL, and 12 months at 2,160 TL. With the new prices, Essential’s 1-month subscription has increased by 130 TL, 3-month subscription by 310 TL, and annual subscription by 730 TL. In this package, the increase rate reached approximately 48 percent for the 1-month option, approximately 44 percent for the 3-month option, and approximately 34 percent for the annual option.
On the extra package side, the old prices were 405 TL for 1 month, 1,148 TL for 3 months, and 3,645 TL for 12 months. With the new prices, the 1-month option of the Extra subscription has increased to 195 TL, the 3-month option to 512 TL, and the annual option to 1,165 TL. This increase corresponds to approximately 48 percent in the 1-month package, approximately 45 percent in the 3-month package, and approximately 32 percent in the annual package.
The Deluxe package was also directly affected by the price increase. Before the increase, 1-month subscription for Deluxe was sold as 474 TL, 3-month subscription for 1,354 TL, and 12-month subscription for 4,266 TL. With current prices, the increase in the 1-month package is 236 TL, in the 3-month package it is 606 TL, and in the annual package it is 1,294 TL. On the Deluxe side, the increase rate increased to approximately 50 percent for a 1-month subscription, approximately 45 percent for a 3-month subscription, and approximately 30 percent for an annual subscription.
When we look at the new table, it is seen that the sharpest increase is in short-term subscriptions. 1-month subscriptions for Essential, Extra and Deluxe packages have increased by almost 50 percent. Although the rate remains lower for 12-month subscriptions, annual payment amounts have increased significantly. Deluxe annual package became the most expensive option on the list with 5,560 TL. PlayStation Plus has three different subscription levels in Turkey.
Essential includes core benefits such as access to online multiplayer, monthly games, special discounts, cloud storage, Share Play and exclusive content. In addition to the Essential benefits, the Extra package offers access to the Game Catalog. In addition to the Extra advantages, the Deluxe package includes the Classics Catalog and game trial versions. Offering the Deluxe package instead of Premium in Turkey is due to Sony’s regional service structure.
PlayStation Plus Premium is available in markets where cloud game streaming is supported. In markets where cloud game streaming is not offered, there is a different upper package called Deluxe. The highest subscription level in Turkey is therefore listed as Deluxe. Another noteworthy detail on the PlayStation Store Türkiye pages was the inconsistency between price fields and subscription descriptions. While new prices appear in the purchasing section of product pages, old regular fee information continues to be included in some description texts.
For example, while the purchase price on the Essential 1-month page appears as 400 TL, there is a regular fee of 175 TL in the description field. Extra and Deluxe pages also contain similar old price statements. After the increase, annual packages still offer lower total costs than the monthly payment option. The Essential package is equivalent to 4,800 TL when purchased monthly for 12 months, and the price for the annual package is 2,890 TL.
While the Extra package increases to 7,200 TL in 12 months with monthly payment, it is listed as 4,810 TL in the annual package. In the Deluxe package, the total monthly payment for 12 months reaches 8,520 TL, and the annual option remains at 5,560 TL.
