President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received information about game-changing systems at the EFES-2026 Exercise, where ASELSAN showed up with its advanced technologies. According to the statement made by ASELSAN, the local and national power of the defense industry was once again revealed in the EFES-2026 Exercise, which was carried out under the coordination of the Turkish Armed Forces and attracted great attention on an international scale.
President Erdoğan also watched the Distinguished Observer Day of the exercise held in the Doğanbey Firing Exercise Area in Izmir’s Seferihisar district. ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol presented President Erdoğan with information about the ASELSAN systems used in the exercise. On the last day of the exercise, the activities were followed by Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, accompanied by defense ministers of friendly and allied countries, chiefs of general staff and the command level of the Turkish Armed Forces.
During the exercise, ASELSAN’s stand was visited by Minister of National Defense Güler, Chief of General Staff General Bayraktaroğlu, force commanders, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün, as well as local and foreign military delegations. Ahmet Akyol gave information about ASELSAN systems to high-level visitors, especially the Minister of National Defense and the President of Defense Industries.
ASELSAN, which was among the largest participants of the Defense Industry Exhibition organized under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries simultaneously with the exercise, was in the focus of both visitors and military delegations with the advanced technology solutions it developed. Systems with proven effectiveness in the field While ASELSAN exhibited its new generation defense systems at the stand it opened in the exercise area, it also showed a remarkable performance with its products used effectively by the Turkish Armed Forces.
The success of the systems operating in scenarios involving real operational conditions once again proved ASELSAN’s operational reliability and effectiveness in the field. ASELSAN’s systems, which stand out with their high durability, fast reaction ability and integrated mission performance, were among the solutions that meet the needs of the modern warfare environment. The performance of game-changing technologies, working in coordination with different units throughout the exercise, revealed the level reached by the national defense industry.
KOCATEPE was used for the first time in the exercise. ASELSAN attracted great attention at the Defense Industry Exhibition, where it featured dozens of national systems in its wide product range, from electronic warfare to communication systems, from electro-optical systems to command and control equipment. The KOCATEPE Battlefield Management System developed by ASELSAN was used for the first time in the exercise. KOCATEPE provided a comprehensive picture of the operational area at all levels for commanders and command post personnel.
Many systems were exhibited at the stand, including KORKUT 25 Air Defense System, KILIÇ OSA, TUFAN Kamikaze İDA, electro-optical systems and ÇELİKKUBBE elements. ÇELİKKUBBE components were also on the field. The basic elements of Turkey’s layered air defense architecture ÇELİKKUBBE served together in the same scenario for the first time within the scope of the exercise. ÇELİKKUBBE aims to combine sensors, command control systems and preventive elements operating at different altitudes and ranges in a single network-centric structure.
In EFES-2026, important elements of this architecture took part simultaneously, revealing the functioning of Turkey’s integrated air and missile defense capability in the field. In this context, SİPER, HİSAR-A and HİSAR-O, KORKUT and İHTAR developed by ASELSAN served as the remarkable systems of the exercise. KORKUT 35 Low Altitude Air Defense System, developed by ASELSAN, stood out as one of the most striking domestic elements of the exercise.
With its ability to fire particle ammunition, KORKUT provided effective defense day and night against modern air threats, including UAVs and missiles. ALTAY Tank also appeared in EFES. The new generation Main Battle Tank ALTAY, which joined the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, also appeared in EFES. ALTAY is equipped with ASELSAN’s critical technologies. These systems maximized the effectiveness, survivability and situational awareness of the ALTAY Tank.
ARTSoft MAESTRO, ASELSAN’s highly secure messaging, file transfer and live video calling software that is resistant to electronic warfare conditions, was also used at EFES. More than thirty systems of ASELSAN took part in the exercise, including ACAR UAV Detection Radar, Land-Based Electronic Support System MİLKED, Modernized Towed Gun, KALKAN Air Defense, SERHAT Mortar Detection Radar, Electro-Optical Targeting Pod ASELPOD.
ASELSAN’s solutions used in the field were closely examined by many foreign military delegations and industry representatives.
