While preparations are continuing before Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated between 27-30 May this year, citizens have increased their use of cash due to sacrificial and Eid shopping. In this context, while long queues began to form in front of ATMs, banks announced that they had rearranged ATM limits so that citizens would not experience any inconvenience before the holiday. Accordingly, many banks announced their updated ATM limits.

Enpara announced that it has set a limit of 60 thousand liras for cash transactions and 10 thousand liras for QR code transactions. It was stated that QNB Finansbank applied a limit of 50 thousand lira in cash and QR code transactions, while İş Bank offered a limit of 20 thousand lira in cash and QR code transactions. It was reported that Garanti BBVA applied a limit of 20 thousand liras for cash and QR code transactions, VakıfBank applied a limit of 20 thousand liras for cash transactions and 5 thousand liras for QR code transactions.

TRANSACTION LIMITS ARE UPDATED While it was stated that Yapı Kredi, ING and TEB set a limit of 15 thousand liras for cash and QR code transactions, it was announced that Ziraat Bank, Halkbank and Akbank offered a limit of 10 thousand liras for cash and QR code transactions. In addition, DenizBank and HSBC announced that up to 10 thousand liras can be made in cash and QR code transactions. ATM FILLING PROCEDURES WILL BE CARRIED OUT DURING THE HOLIDAY.

Accordingly, bank customers will be able to withdraw higher amounts of money by using cash and QR code transactions together. On the other hand, while some citizens stated that the limits for money withdrawal transactions via QR code remained low, experts stated that users should check their own limits through mobile banking applications. Banks also announced that ATMs will be regularly refilled to meet cash needs throughout the holiday.
