Ctech participated in the DSA 2026 fair held in Malaysia and returned home from the event by signing an important agreement. CTech shared its pioneering satellite and line-of-sight communication technologies in the international arena by taking advantage of new cooperation opportunities through productive meetings held during the fair. CTech General Manager Cüneyd Fırat made special statements to DefenseHere regarding his activities here.

Cüneyd Fırat stated that Malaysia is one of the countries of strategic importance for the company, and that the recent entry of ANKA unmanned aerial vehicles into the Malaysian inventory further strengthened this cooperation. Stating that following the ANKA contract signed about three years ago, some technical adaptations specific to Malaysia were made in the production process of the platform, Fırat said that one of the most important of these changes was the adaptation of satellite communication terminals to the equatorial region.

Fırat stated that the satellite communication systems used on mobile platforms do not work with standard configuration in the equatorial region, therefore they require special design. In this context, he noted that the necessary adaptations were made on the SkyARX Satellite Communication Terminal, which was developed by CTech and has more than 400 thousand hours of flight experience in Türkiye and the world. Stating that they received direct feedback from the Malaysian Air Force within the scope of DSA 2026, Fırat stated that the users were satisfied with the system performance.

He said that in the tests carried out via MEASAT, Malaysia’s national satellite system, trials were carried out to the extreme ends of the coverage area and it was reported that uninterrupted and satisfactory results were obtained. Stating that a new cooperation step was taken with Malaysia-based AR Eastern during the fair, Fırat announced that they signed an agreement with the company to make modem technology specific to Malaysia.

Stating that this work will be one of the first technologies developed for local needs in the field of satellite communications in the country, Fırat stated that the Malaysian Air Force and relevant institutions showed great interest in the project. Emphasizing that growth in the Malaysian market means not only expansion but also deepening for CTech, Fırat stated that this cooperation can pave the way for new opportunities for other countries in the Asian region.
