DDR5-8000 memory working with 1.1V is coming from TEAMGROUP!

TEAMGROUP announced the new 8000 MT/s speed option for the ELITE PLUS DDR5 and ELITE DDR5 desktop memory series. The new modules come with 1.1V operating voltage and CL56-56-56-128 timings.

TEAMGROUP announced the new 8000 MT/s speed option for the ELITE PLUS DDR5 and ELITE DDR5 desktop memory series. The new modules come with 1.1V operating voltage and CL56-56-56-128 timings. The company will initially sell 16 GB x 2 kits. TEAMGROUP ELITE PLUS DDR5 and ELITE DDR5 Series reached 8000 MT/s level. The 8000 MT/s speed level in DDR5 memory is no longer limited to high-end overclocking-focused kits. TEAMGROUP’s new ELITE PLUS DDR5 and ELITE DDR5 models offer 8000 MT/s transfer speed with 1.1V operating voltage.

This value remains below the 1.35V and 1.4V levels used by many high-frequency DDR5 kits. CL56-56-56-128 timings are used in the new memories. Although the latency values are kept wide for high-frequency DDR5 modules, low voltage offers a more efficient structure in terms of power consumption and heat generation. TEAMGROUP states that the modules are compatible with JEDEC standards. ELITE PLUS DDR5 8000 MT/s and ELITE DDR5 8000 MT/s models come with DDR5 Same-Bank Refresh technology and optimized IC architecture.

This provides smoother operation in multitasking scenarios and improvements in system efficiency. TEAMGROUP positions the new memories for learning, entertainment and desktop usage scenarios. According to the information shared by the company, the new kits were shown on Intel Z890 and AMD X870E platforms. Both platforms used DDR5-8000, 2 x 16 GB capacity, 1.1V voltage and CL56-56-56-128 timing values. This shows that the new modules are positioned in current Intel and AMD desktop systems without being tied to a single platform.

TEAMGROUP will initially sell ELITE PLUS DDR5 8000 MT/s and ELITE DDR5 8000 MT/s kits with a capacity of 16 GB x 2. The modules are planned to be available for sale on Amazon in North America in June 2026. The company did not share a clear schedule or capacity information for higher capacity kits. The new models highlight the difference on the voltage side in high-frequency DDR5 memories. Reaching the 8000 MT/s speed level with 1.1V is noteworthy for the widespread use of memory options that operate with lower power consumption, especially in high-performance desktop systems.
