According to information obtained from industry sources, a price increase of 1.74 TL is expected in the diesel group, effective as of May 21, 2026. With the expected increase, diesel liter prices are expected to rise again in Turkey’s three largest cities. While it is estimated that the liter price of diesel in Istanbul will increase to 69.22 TL, it is stated that this figure will reach 70.33 TL in Ankara.

In Izmir, the liter price of diesel is expected to increase to 70.60 TL. While fuel prices were observed to be at higher levels in the eastern provinces, it was stated that the liter price of diesel could rise up to 72.06 TL after the new regulation. In addition to the developments in global markets, geopolitical risks and the supply-demand balance continue to have an impact on pricing. In addition to international oil prices, exchange rate movements and tax regulations also play an important role in determining fuel prices. Recent changes are directly reflected in pump prices. With the price update in question coming into force, it is expected that a new pricing process will be implemented in the diesel group throughout the country.
