Meteorological Causes Experts stated that excessive rainfall is caused by the combination of moist air masses carried over the Bay of Bengal, South China Sea and Pacific Ocean.

It was stated that due to the slow-moving weather system, rainfall was effective in the same regions for a long time. The National Meteorological Center announced that the rainy system will continue to move east and south and new risks may occur, especially in the Yangtze River basin.
