Forza Horizon 6 reached 273,148 concurrent players on Steam on its full release day, reaching the highest Steam peak on the PC side of the series. With this figure, the racing game signed by Playground Games surpassed Forza Horizon 5’s Steam record of 81,096 players. Forza Horizon 6 broke the record of the series on Steam. The full version release of Forza Horizon 6 brought the highest number of concurrent players in the series on Steam to date.
According to SteamDB data, the game reached 273,148 concurrent players on May 19, 2026. This number only includes players on Steam. Users playing via Xbox Series Forza Horizon 5 reached its peak on Steam with 81,096 concurrent players on November 13, 2021. Forza Horizon 6, on the other hand, more than tripled this number on its launch day. Thus, the player interest in the series on Steam was brought to a much higher level compared to the previous main game.
The early access period of the game also attracted attention during the release process. Premium Edition owners began accessing Forza Horizon 6 on May 15, 2026. In previous data shared by SteamDB, the game had up to 172,093 concurrent players during the early access period. With the launch of the full version on May 19, the number of players exceeded the 270 thousand threshold. Forza Horizon 6 was developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios.
The game can be played on Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10/11 and Steam. Additionally, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can also access the game. On Xbox’s official page, Forza Horizon 6 is positioned as an open-world racing game set in Japan and containing more than 550 real cars. On the Premium Edition side, the full game includes additional content such as two Premium expansion packs, Time Attack Car Pack, Car Pass, VIP Membership and Welcome Pack.
Game Pass users could also participate in the early access period by purchasing Premium Upgrade.
