Germany's Ambassador to Türkiye, Sibylle Katharina Sorg, visited Konya-based MPG A.Ş. and received information about the company's production activities and technological capacity.

Germany’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Sibylle Katharina Sorg, visited Konya-based MPG A.Ş. and received information about the company’s production activities and technological capacity. In his post on the social media platform X after the visit, Sorg stated that the company represents the power of innovation in the region. In her post, German Ambassador Sibylle Katharina Sorg pointed out that MPG started its activities with the production of agricultural machinery and today has moved it to the fields of construction, defense and mine clearance.

Stating that the company exports to the European Union, Sorg emphasized that it also supplies hydraulic, steel and electronic parts from Germany. MPG MPG A.Ş., which was established in 1966 with the production of agricultural machinery, has expanded its product range over the years and reached an important position in its sector in Turkey. The company, which started crane production in 1988, took a new step in the industry by producing the first domestic crane in Turkey.

The tree removal and planting machine, developed in 1993, stood out as an environmentally focused solution that found use in urban planning and landscaping. The company, which joined Kombassan Holding in 1994, entered the defense industry in 1997 with the production of multi-barreled rocket launcher system cranes. This process continued with projects such as armored rescue vehicles, explosive disposal systems and missile transport solutions.

MPG, which produced the world’s longest and highest capacity folding boom crane in 2016, brought its engineering capabilities to the international market. The company, which continues its activities within Bera Holding as of 2017, institutionalized its technology development efforts by obtaining an R&D center certificate. Today, MPG A.Ş. continues its operations as an export-oriented manufacturer operating in both the civil and defense industries with its high value-added and strategic products.
