Graduation ceremony was held at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University

TEKİRDAĞ – 6 thousand 500 students experienced the excitement of graduating at the 2025-2026 academic year graduation ceremony at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University (NKÜ).

TEKİRDAĞ – 6 thousand 500 students experienced the excitement of graduating at the 2025-2026 academic year graduation ceremony at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University (NKÜ). The ceremony held at the University Stadium started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem. NKU Rector Prof. Dr. Mümin Şahin, in his speech at the ceremony, said that the university raises young people who will build the future of Turkey and the world.

Stating that the university grows and develops day by day, Şahin stated that they have achieved important successes in academic, scientific and social fields. After the speeches, the top students of the faculty were given their awards and graduation certificates. Within the scope of the program, a Balkan Folk Songs Concert was presented to students and their families by NKÜ Turkish Music State Conservatory. At the ceremony, students of the Faculty of Theology opened a banner saying “Free Palestine from the river to the sea” in support of Palestine.

Some students carried a banner with the Fenerbahçe logo, which read: “University is over before the championship comes.” Families also gave messages of support and love to the students with the banners they prepared. The ceremony ended with the students celebrating their graduation by throwing their caps. Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Candan Yüceer, Süleymanpaşa District Governor Mahmut Nedim Tunçer, Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Metin Turanlı, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Ahmet Çetin, institution directors, academicians and students’ families attended the graduation ceremony.
