The General Directorate of Meteorology published the current weather forecast for May 20. According to the evaluations, partly and very cloudy weather will prevail across Türkiye. There will be showers and thunderstorms in many regions except some parts of the Black Sea coast and the east of Southeastern Anatolia. Authorities reported that rainfall may be locally heavy, especially in the Inner Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean, Bursa, Balıkesir and the northern and eastern parts of Central Anatolia.

It was stated that the rains may increase in intensity for a short time in the Osmaniye surroundings, the northern and eastern districts of Adana, and the west of Kahramanmaraş. Rain will be effective throughout the day in Istanbul. According to meteorological forecasts, the temperature in Istanbul will be around 21 degrees during the day. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the city from the morning hours.
