China is working on a new digital identity system to register humanoid robots and track their life cycle. Within the scope of the application tested in Hubei province, it is planned to give a special identification number to each robot. The system aims to centrally monitor the entire process from the production stage of the robots to their retirement. All Technical Data of the Robots Will Be Recorded. In the new system, each humanoid robot will be assigned a special identification code consisting of 29 characters.
This code; It will include basic information such as manufacturer, model, serial number, hardware features and artificial intelligence capacity. In addition, the robots’ maintenance history, operation records, battery status and performance data will also be included in the digital profile. Thus, technical teams will be able to access historical data faster in case of malfunctions. Security and Audit Processes are Targeted.
One of the important goals of the system is to monitor robots, especially those working in interaction with humans, more safely. In case of possible malfunctions or accidents, technical evaluation can be made by examining the robot’s past data. The system is currently in the testing phase. Robots of some technology companies have been included in the project. The system is expected to be implemented on a larger scale after the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publishes the standards.
