Hyundai shared photos of the new i20, which will hit the roads with its stylish design soon. The facelifted car’s safety and best-in-class connectivity features offer a stylish alternative to the B segment.
The new i20 has a stylish and modern exterior that makes an eye-catching statement. The new shape and pattern of the front bumper combines with the sporty radiator grille to create a magnificent visual. Another part developed to create an elegant appearance with sporty elements is the rear bumper. This redesigned rear bumper is accompanied by Z-shaped LED taillights. Hyundai i20 supports its dynamic appearance with its newly designed 16 and 17 inch wheels.
The design of the i20 is praised for its emotional and dynamic style, harmonizing proportion, architecture, style and technology in both the exterior and interior. The model maintains its sporty stance thanks to its low roof profile and long wheelbase. These features also improve the aerodynamics of the vehicle by reducing air resistance. Having superior handling thanks to its dynamic design and aerodynamic features, the i20 is also very successful in fuel efficiency. The new i20 offers its users a very large interior volume with its compact B segment dimensions. In addition, it offers a luggage volume of 352 liters with the rear seats in the upright position. When the rear seats are folded down, this volume increases to 1,165 liters.
This new model added to the Hyundai product range is offered with eight body colors and an optional black roof. The new Metallic Yellow, Gray and Meta Blue added to the existing colors are among the new features of the facelifted i20. At the same time, yellow is used in some parts of the cockpit to revitalize the mood of the driver and passengers.
Flawless technology
The new i20 comes with the latest connectivity features that make the in-car experience even easier for passengers. Hyundai i20 is equipped with a standard 4.2-inch LCD screen, USB type-C, second-generation eCall based on 4G network and Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates.
The facelift model also offers an optional 10.25-inch display, 10.25-inch multimedia screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charger and the most advanced Bluelink® telematics update. Hyundai Smart Sense safety features are also now standard. Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) now includes cyclists. FCA helps detect and avoid potential accidents by sensing the distance to vehicles in front. Lane Following Assist (LFA) ensures that the vehicle stays in the current lane. Rear Cross Traffic Assist (RCCA) automatically applies the brakes when reversing out of a parking space when it detects a possible risk of collision with vehicles behind and to the side. Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) uses visual alerts that appear in the rearview mirrors when a vehicle is detected in the right or left lane. Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) uses the vehicle’s navigation system to predict curves or straights on highways and adjusts the speed for safer driving.
A smart choice for drivers, the new i20 will attract the attention of those looking for an elegant and sporty design. The renewed model replaces its existing bulbs with LED technology for better interior lighting and gets multi-colored ambient lights. Thus, the i20 can adjust the color of the interior lighting according to the mood of the passengers. The vehicle also includes a BOSE® Premium sound system for a superior musical enjoyment.
Production of the new i20 will start in Hyundai’s factory in Izmit in the third quarter of 2023 and will then be offered for sale simultaneously in Europe and Turkey.
