GranTurismo, the iconic model of Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Maserati, is on sale in Turkey with its new generation.
Maserati GranTurismo, which hit the world’s roads for the first time in 1947, was put on sale in Turkey in its completely renewed form. The iconic model, which has successfully combined comfort and sportiness for four people since its first generation, appeals to both traditional sports car enthusiasts and the new generation of car lovers with its 0-electric option. The new generation GranTurismo remains true to its DNA; It offers design, comfort, sporty performance and connectivity solutions together.
The “100 percent Italian” new GranTurismo, developed at the Maserati Innovation Laboratory and produced at the Mirafiori Factory in Turin; It has three different versions named Modena, Trofeo and Folgore. GranTurismo combines the high performance of a sports car with long-distance comfort, with its powerful internal combustion engine version and its most innovative and 100 percent electric solutions. At the heart of the Modena and Trofeo versions of the model is the high-tech V6 Nettuno engine developed by Maserati, while the most powerful of the family, Folgore, has a fully electric powertrain. The new generation GranTurismo, like all Maserati models; It represents the Italian concept of luxury and performance. GranTurismo’s timeless design offers an ideal balance between aesthetics and functionality.
GranTurismo, one of the most beautiful coupés in world automobile history, takes its place in automotive history as Maserati’s first 100 percent electric car.
The Perfect Combination of Opposites: Sporty Performance, Comfort and Luxury
The new GranTurismo focuses on customer requests from the early stages of development, offering comfortable and sporty performance for long distances with Maserati’s powerful internal combustion engines and the most innovative 100 percent electric solutions. Maserati GranTurismo, the most powerful and lightest four-seat coupe ever produced with a total weight of 1,795 kg, differs from the previous generation with its 100 percent locking rear differential and four-wheel drive.
Modena and Trofeo versions of the new GranTurismo are equipped with the V6 Nettuno engine. While the 3.0-liter engine at the heart of GranTurismo Modena offers 490 horsepower, the values of the same engine go up to 550 horsepower in the performance-oriented Trofeo version. The 3.0 liter twin turbo engine in these versions uses a wet crankcase lubrication system and also has cylinder shutdown technology. On the transmission side, there is an 8-speed automatic transmission signed by ZF.
GranTurismo’s cabin interior, combined with high-quality workmanship, offers maximum level of sporty comfort and technological elements to both the passengers and the driver. GranTurismo, whose seats are 46 mm wider than the previous generation and where 4 people can travel comfortably, offers heated and ventilated seats that can be adjusted in 18 different directions, and standard air suspension that further increases the comfort of the journey. The luggage volume, which reaches 310 liters with an additional capacity of 20 percent compared to the previous generation, offers more space during travels.
GranTurismo Folgore: The Power of Silence
GranTurismo Folgore, on the other hand, differs in that it is 100 percent electric with an 800V electrical architecture. The Folgore system includes advanced technological solutions derived from Formula E. It offers superior performance thanks to its 3 permanent magnet electric motors with a power of 300 kW. The battery of the vehicle has a capacity of 92.5 kWh and has an energy transfer capacity of 560 kW. In this way, it allows an uninterrupted transfer of 761 horsepower to the wheels of the vehicle. The form of the battery, called T-bone, is part of Maserati’s approach to not compromising performance and allows the battery modules to be placed around the central tunnel rather than under the seats. Thus, it ensures that the vehicle’s center of gravity and seat seating point are quite low. In terms of technical architecture, the new model reflects an innovative perspective in which lightweight materials such as aluminum and magnesium are used extensively along with high-performance steel.
Current Technologies, Versatile Audio Experience
The modern cabin of the Maserati GranTurismo includes the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, the latest infotainment system, a Heads-up Display (virtual instrument panel that can be projected onto the windshield), a comfort display that brings together the main functions in an integrated touchscreen interface and an adaptable digital clock. GranTurismo also offers a “versatile audio experience” with the iconic signature sound of the Maserati engine, even in the electric version, thanks to the innovative work of engineers at the Maserati Innovation Lab. The sound experience in the cabin is completed with the immersive Sonus Faber 3D system.
Designed by Italian engineers and produced entirely by hand, the 1,195 W 3D sound system offers a unique experience with 19 speakers and two different levels of customization.
Maserati GranTurismo, completely renewed in terms of technology and design, is offered for sale in Turkey with Modena and Trofeo versions.
