The General Directorate of Meteorology published the weather forecast report for Monday, June 1. According to the latest evaluations, partly and very cloudy weather along with local showers will be seen in many regions of Turkey. Especially the north of Marmara, the Black Sea, the north and east of Central Anatolia and the northern parts of Eastern Anatolia will be under the influence of the rainy system. While partly and very cloudy weather is expected in Istanbul during the day, local showers and thunderstorms are expected to be effective, especially in the northern districts in the afternoon.

Rainfall Will Be Heavy in Some Regions According to meteorological evaluations, it has been reported that heavy rains in the inner parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea and the inner regions of Sinop may be heavy in places. For this reason, it was stated that caution should be taken against short-term floods due to sudden rains in these regions. The report also included information that air temperatures will decrease by up to 4 degrees in the eastern parts.

In the western and southern regions, temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms. Rain Warning Throughout the Week According to Meteorology’s forecasts, there will be showers from time to time across the country throughout the week. Thunderstorms are expected in many provinces, including Istanbul, especially on Friday. In the forecasts made for Friday, June 5, it was reported that many provinces such as Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Eskişehir, Konya, Zonguldak, Samsun, Erzurum and Kars will be under the influence of thunderstorms.
