PRESS CONFERENCE OF HBO ORIGINAL SERIES ‘MİRA’ WAS HELD! ‘MİRA’ STARRING NEHİR ERDOĞAN, YİĞİT ÖZŞENER AND NEZAKET ERDEN IN THE LEADING ROLE IS ON HBO MAX ON MARCH 13… Warner Bros. A press conference was held for the new local HBO Original series ‘Mira’ of Discovery’s premium digital broadcast platform HBO Max. Leading actors Nehir Erdoğan, Yiğit Özşener and Nezaket Erden answered the questions of the press members and shared their feelings just a few days before the series went on air.
Nehir Erdoğan: I came for our beloved Mira. I was very happy and worked on a script that I read with great pleasure. I am very happy to work with our dear director. It is always a great pleasure for me to meet Yiğit. I can say that I have been revived now that I met Nezaket. The name Mira means a star that never loses its shine. We did a job that was well supported and completed by our director Meltem Bozoflu, our producer Elif Yakarçelik and our gentlemen, including women.
In fact, we worked with the emotions of millions of Mira, whom we wish would never lose her light. It’s always nice to meet with Yiğit. He recently shared a saying: ‘A person can be himself where he is understood, and he blooms where he is loved.’ He is a gentleman who always makes us experience this. Mira is the story of a woman trying to hold on to life again from her post-divorce depression with the support of her friends.
The characters in Mira show compassion and mercy to each other. Yiğit Özşener: First of all, we loved the scenario while doing this job. We loved the script written by Meltem, the way Meltem directed us and brought us together. We shot Mira with great pleasure. Mira is not the story of people who call themselves unique, but the story of people who complement each other. And this completion sometimes happens with friendship, sometimes with love…
Mira is a story that reminds us of this. That’s why I think the audience will enjoy it very much. I am on the love side of Mira. I am Mira’s Polat. While Mira is experiencing sudden changes in her own life, life brings these two together with an interesting coincidence, and then their paths begin to intersect more. This is not a story of mourning, depression, depression. The story of being able to create life again for yourself.
Not only Polat, but actually all the characters are trying to build a new life with their awareness. Nezaket Erden: I love both of them very much. Both as a person and as a friend. I’m very happy that we did a job with them and were able to spend more time. They are also people I admire very much as actors. I hope I will have the opportunity to do more things with them throughout my life. My character is Melis, Mira’s best friend.
He is always by Mira’s side, encompassing all her emotions. It’s hard to find friends like that. Sometimes there are things that we cannot tell or share with our family in order not to upset them. But sometimes just having that friend standing there is enough for us to get out of that darkness. Melis also shares her friend’s darkness, silence and joy with her presence, her joy, sometimes with her outspokenness, and sometimes just by standing next to Mira.
I hope we all have friends like this. Written and directed by Meltem Bozoflu, produced by Elif Yakarçelik and produced by BKM, ‘Mira’ will present a hopeful story to the audience. ‘Mira’ is on air on HBO Max on March 13.
