While developments regarding the investigation of betting and match-fixing in football continued in Turkey, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli called on Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu and demanded that the relegation be canceled only for this season. Bahçeli stated that the investigations carried out during this period could negatively affect the relegation processes.
Thereupon, Kayserispor officials, who were relegated from the Super League, called on TFF and demanded that the relegation be canceled. However, TFF officials made a statement on the issue and said, “Avoiding relegation is not on our agenda. We are currently trying to clean up Turkish football. Removing the relegation decision will take us backwards.” THERE IS NO STUDY. Making a statement to HT Spor, TFF officials stated that the federation has no work to remove relegation.
On the other hand, TFF officials also shared important information regarding the betting investigation. It was reported that the Federation requested the identity information of the presidents and managers who were found to have bet in the last 5 years from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. IT COVERS MORE THAN 2 THOUSAND MANAGERS It was stated that the list, which is expected to be delivered on May 20, will cover a total of 139 teams and more than 2 thousand managers, including the Super League, 1st League, 2nd League and 3rd League, and that TFF will take action against those who are determined to bet.
Federation officials also stated that the betting investigation continues with determination, the necessary information is requested from the betting sites and the process is carried out in detail.
