ISTANBUL (AA) – The National Football Team, which will compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, continued its preparations. The crescent-star players, who will go to the USA on Tuesday, June 2, for the World Cup, which will start on June 11, held their last training session in Istanbul, open to members of the press. The training, which was held at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) in Riva, under the management of coach Vincenzo Montella, started with warm-up movements.
Tactical organizations were emphasized in the closed-to-press section of the training, which continued with passing practice. The treatments of Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Mustafa Eskihellaç and Kenan Yıldız in the national team continued. While Hakan Çalhanoğlu was working with the team in the first part of the training, Kerem Aktürkoğlu started running. Before the training, the technical team and teammates congratulated İsmail Yüksek on his marriage.
Türkiye will play against North Macedonia in a special match tomorrow as part of the preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match, which will be played at Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saraçoğlu Sports Complex, will start at 20.30.
