In its new generation Surface computers, Microsoft first launched business models with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and clarified the schedule for Surface models with Snapdragon X2 processors. According to the company’s official announcement, new Surface for Business models with Snapdragon The new Surface Pro for Business and Surface Laptop for Business models are available in selected markets with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.
In the same announcement, the company also confirmed that the Surface for Business family will expand with models with Snapdragon X2 processors within the year. The new Surface Laptop for Business 13-inch model is positioned as the most portable Surface Laptop option in the series. The device went on sale with a starting price of $1,499 in 16 GB and 24 GB memory configurations. The 8 GB memory version will arrive later in the year with a price starting from $ 1,299.99.
The model includes on-device artificial intelligence operations, Wi-Fi 7 support and a removable Gen 4 SSD for corporate service processes. Microsoft’s 13.8-inch and 15-inch Surface Laptop for Business models are available for sale at a price starting from $ 1,949.99. These models feature an advanced haptic touchpad, high-resolution touch screen, and integrated anti-reflective privacy screen in select configurations.
Microsoft quotes up to 23 hours of battery life for the Surface Laptop based on local video playback testing; Battery life varies depending on usage, network, settings and configuration. The Surface Pro for Business 13-inch model is also on sale starting from $1,949.99. With its 2-in-1 form, the device combines the use of a tablet and a laptop in a single body. The model, which supports touch screen, voice, pen and keyboard inputs, features on-device artificial intelligence processing, laptop-level performance and 5G connection option in selected configurations.
On the Snapdragon X2 side, the information provided by Microsoft is shorter but critical. The company states that the Surface for Business portfolio will expand with models with Snapdragon In the technical information shared by Qualcomm for Snapdragon Models with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 are currently on sale in select markets for business users. Surface models with Snapdragon X2 will join the Surface for Business family before the end of the year, according to the same announcement.
Microsoft also highlights security, manageability and serviceability in the new Surface family. The new Surface for Business devices come as Secured-core PCs, and firmware updates are distributed through Windows Update. With support for Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot and Surface Management Portal, IT teams can manage devices centrally. The integrated privacy screen, offered in selected 13.8-inch configurations of Surface Laptop for Business, was announced as a first for the Surface family.
The software-based visual privacy filter can be activated with a single click and managed centrally by IT teams. This feature reduces the visibility of sensitive information on the screen from side angles without using a physical privacy filter. Microsoft also states that it has made changes to the repairability and sustainability side of the new Surface for Business devices. Surface Laptop 13.8 inch, Surface Laptop 15 inch and Surface Pro 13 inch models use a durable recycled aluminum body.
The company states that almost all major components in the Surface for Business portfolio are replaceable and that service processes are designed to be completed with common tools.
