KONYA (AA) – A cooking contest with the theme “Experience Wins, Taste is Crowned” was held in a nursing home in Konya.
In the competition held at Meliha Ercan Nursing Home, which serves under the Konya Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, elderly individuals reflected their culinary culture on the table.
Konya Family and Social Services Provincial Director Arif Topal told reporters that activities supporting the active participation of elderly individuals in social life will continue.
Emphasizing that different flavors were prepared in the competition, Topal said, “The knowledge, experience and cultural heritage of our elders are very valuable for our society. We continue our work to ensure that they live a happy and active life.” he said.
The delicacies prepared by the participants were evaluated by the jury members according to taste, presentation and originality criteria.
At the end of the competition, all participants were given various gifts.
