OPPO introduced the Reno 16 series in China. The new series consisting of Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro models; It came with a 200 MP main camera, flat OLED display, high-capacity battery, MediaTek Dimensity processors, ColorOS 16, and multiple durability certifications including IP69K. While the standard model is housed in a more compact body, the Pro model is distinguished by its larger screen, more powerful processor, 7,000 mAh battery and wireless fast charging support.
OPPO Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro featuresOPPO Reno 16 comes with a 6.32-inch flat OLED screen. The panel offers 2640 x 1216 pixel resolution, 460 PPI pixel density, 10-bit color support, 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. OPPO’s official technical page includes 600 nits typical maximum brightness and 1,800 nits global excited maximum brightness value for the screen. The body of the OPPO Reno 16 model has a thickness between 8.20 mm and 8.36 mm and a weight between 188 grams and 191 grams, depending on the color option.
Color options are listed as Moonlit Night Black, Galaxy Purple and Heart-Fluttering Stars in China. On the Reno 16 Pro side, the screen increases to 6.78 inches. This model includes 2772 x 1272 pixel resolution, 450 PPI pixel density, 10-bit color, flat panel design, up to 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The thickness of the Pro model is announced as 7.70 mm, 7.79 mm or 7.86 mm depending on the color option, while the weight varies between 205 grams and 208 grams.
Reno 16 Pro; It is available in Moonlit Night Black, Dreamy Blue and Heart-Fluttering Stars colors. Standard Reno 16 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SUPER processor. The 8-core processor offers a frequency of up to 3.4 GHz. The device has LPDDR5X or LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 12 GB 256 GB, 12 GB 512 GB, 16 GB 256 GB, 16 GB 512 GB and 16 GB 1 TB memory-storage options. There is no microSD card support. On the battery side, there is a typical capacity of 6,700 mAh and 80W Super Flash Charge support.
Reno 16 Pro comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. The 8-core processor goes up to 3.73 GHz. The Pro model includes LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 12 GB 256 GB, 12 GB 512 GB and 16 GB 512 GB options. While the battery capacity of this model increases to 7,000 mAh, there is also 50W wireless fast charging support as well as 80W wired fast charging. On the camera side, both models come with a triple rear setup consisting of a 200 MP wide-angle main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50 MP telephoto camera.
The main camera has an f/1.8 aperture, 24 mm equivalent focal length and optical image stabilization. The ultra wide-angle camera offers 16 mm equivalent focal length, f / 2.0 aperture and 116-degree viewing angle. The telephoto camera comes with 80 mm equivalent focal length, f / 2.8 aperture, autofocus, OIS and 3.5x optical zoom support. 120x digital zoom is supported for photo shooting and 18x digital zoom for video.
On the front, both models have a 50 MP selfie camera. The front camera offers f / 2.0 aperture, 18 mm equivalent focal length and autofocus support. Reno 16 series can record 4K 60 FPS video with rear and front cameras. The rear camera also includes options such as 4K video stabilization, 1080p slow motion, time-lapse, HDR video, dual-image video and underwater camera mode. In the connection features, there is Wi-Fi 6 support in Reno 16 and Wi-Fi 7 support in Reno 16 Pro.
Both models have Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, NFC, dual SIM 5G, under-screen fingerprint reader, facial recognition, infrared remote control sensor and stereo speakers. OPPO also lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications for the Reno 16 series. On the software side, the series comes with ColorOS 16. OPPO includes a physical AI key for the first time in the Reno series. With this button, the AI One-Click Notes feature is turned on; Saving the contents on the screen, creating a trip plan, editing study notes, menu translation, taking voice notes and some shortcut operations are supported.
OPPO’s China page also explains faster cross-ecosystem sharing after a single pairing for photo transfer with iPhone. The Chinese price of OPPO Reno 16 starts at 3,499 yuan for the 12 GB 256 GB version. Reno 16 Pro has a starting price of 4,499 yuan with the 12 GB and 256 GB version. The 12 GB 512 GB version of Reno 16 Pro is listed as 4,899 yuan, and the 16 GB 512 GB version is listed as 5,299 yuan. It was announced that the series will go on sale in China on May 29, 2026.
