Sony also extended the PlayStation 5 price increase to Southeast Asian markets. The new recommended sales prices will be valid as of May 1, 2026. The update covers PS5, PS5 Digital Edition, PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal models in certain countries. As of April 2, the company had increased the prices of PS5, PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal in the USA, the UK, Europe (including Turkey) and Japan. Following this increase, the price of PS5 Pro increased to $ 899.99 in the USA and 899.99 euros in Europe.
With the new update, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam were also added to the price increase. The increase in this model is 95 Singapore dollars, the rate is 14.2 percent. While the PS5 Pro price increases from 1,069 Singapore dollars to 1,167 Singapore dollars, the increase is at 98 Singapore dollars.
PlayStation Portal, on the other hand, increases from 295.90 Singapore dollars to 347 Singapore dollars, seeing a 17.3 percent increase. The standard PS5 price in Malaysia increased from 2,499 ringgit to 2,799 ringgit. In this model, there is an increase of 300 ringgit and a rate of 12 percent. The PS5 Digital Edition price increases from 2,069 ringgit to 2,499 ringgit. This means an increase of 430 ringgit and a raise of 20.8 percent.
On the PS5 Pro side, the price increases from 3,849 ringgit to 3,999 ringgit. The increase is 150 ringgit, the rate is 3.9 percent. PlayStation Portal, on the other hand, sees a 10 percent increase from 999 ringgit to 1,099 ringgit. The standard PS5 price in Thailand increased from 18,690 baht to 20,990 baht. The increase in this model is 2,300 baht and the rate is 12.3 percent. PS5 Digital Edition goes from 15,690 baht to 18,790 baht.
With the increase of 3,100 baht, the increase rate reaches 19.8 percent. PS5 Pro price increases from 29,490 baht to 30,990 baht. The increase here is 1,500 baht, the rate is 5.1 percent. The PlayStation Portal price also increases from 7,790 baht to 8,380 baht, increasing by 7.6 percent. In Indonesia, the standard PS5 price increases from 9,699,000 rupiah to 11,399,000 rupiah. In this model, an increase of 1,700,000 rupiah was made and the rate was 17.5 percent.
PS5 Digital Edition goes from 8,199,000 rupiah to 9,999,000 rupiah. The increase is 1,800,000 rupiah, the rate is 22 percent. There is a sharper increase on the PlayStation Portal side. The price of the device increases from 3,599,000 rupiah to 5,199,000 rupiah. This means an increase of 1,600,000 rupiah and a 44.5 percent increase. The highest confirmed increase in the table is seen in the Indonesian price of PlayStation Portal.
On the consoles side, the highest confirmed increase is in the standard PS5 model in the Philippines. In the Philippines, the standard PS5 price increased from 30,790 pesos to 40,032 pesos. In this model, there was an increase of 9,242 pesos and the rate was 30 percent. In Vietnam, the standard PS5 price increases from 13,300,000 dong to 16,900,000 dong. The increase here is 3,600,000 dong and the increase rate is 27.1 percent.
Sony’s new list does not include price information for some models. The new table does not include PS5 Pro prices for Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. PlayStation Portal price for the Philippines and Vietnam is also not listed. Therefore, the comparison is limited to products that can be matched with the previous official recommended retail price in Sony’s new price list dated May 1. Sony’s price increase first took effect in the US, UK, Europe and Japan.
With the Southeast Asia update, the price increase in the PS5 family has spread to a wider region. The new prices directly affect not only the main console but also the digital version, PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal in the PlayStation 5 ecosystem.
