SİVAS (AA) – Search efforts are continuing for an 18-year-old young man who is thought to have disappeared in the Kelkit River following a traffic accident in Koyulhisar district of Sivas, in which 1 person died and 1 person was injured.
Sivas and Erzurum AFAD, Kayseri Provincial Police Department Underwater Search Team and Suşehri Gendarmerie Commando Unit teams are participating in the search efforts.
Diver teams search the river with high water flow using boats, while other teams search the riverside. Drones are also used in the studies.
The car with plate number 28 DR 070, driven by Ufuk Yüce (20), overturned on the D-100 highway near Ağırkale Mahallesi in Koyulhisar district on May 16, and in the accident in which the driver was injured, Yağmur Hira Yazıcı (17) died at the scene.
A search was launched in the Kelkit River for Esma Nur Hacıosmanoğlu, who could not be found at the scene after the accident.
