“Jeep Jamboree”, an event that brings together the Jeep brand and its enthusiasts in an off-road adventure every year, is shown as one of the most challenging off-road tracks in the world; Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Rubicon Trail.

The Jeep® brand and Jeep Jamboree celebrate 70 years of extreme off-road adventure. Known as one of the most challenging off-road tracks in the world and located near Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California, the Rubicon Trail has been a lifestyle symbol of 4×4 off-road adventure for communities of Jeep enthusiasts since 1953.

This summer, 450 Jeep enthusiasts, driving a total of 125 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator, celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Rubicon Trail with their families and friends at a special event and experienced the off-road adventure of their dreams. Throughout the drive, they proved that Jeeps can do the impossible, traverse rugged terrain and get them home again.

A world-famous 4×4 playground, the Rubicon Track is approximately 35 kilometers long and is considered one of the most challenging off-road terrains in the world. All Jeep Trail Rated 4×4 vehicles are designed and built to tackle this terrain. Jeep Jamboree, on the other hand, covers the most challenging part of the terrain, which is 28 kilometers long. The altitudes on the track vary from approximately 1,646 meters to over 2,134 meters. Today, the Rubicon is recognized as the premier off-road vehicle route in the United States.

Jeep engineers have long used the Rubicon Trail to develop and test the most capable SUVs, including the Wrangler. To take off-roading to the next level, the Wrangler Rubicon is equipped with options unheard of at the time and not available on any production Jeep SUV, including Dana 44 axles, front and rear lockers, splitter sway bar, rock rails, oversized 31-inch mud terrain tires and wheel flares.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon continues to be a proof of concept that moves both Jeep and its product line forward, with experience gained from the brand’s iconic off-road locations such as the Rubicon Trail and feedback from loyal Jeep drivers.
