Tianma exhibited its new generation display technologies at SID Display Week 2026. The panels the company showed at the event included a 6.78-inch SLOD AM-OLED with 8,000 nits peak brightness, a 6.32-inch FSD AM-OLED with a 240 Hz refresh rate, a low-power U11 AM-OLED, a wrinkle-reduced foldable AMOLED, and a Micro-LED HUD display with over 120,000 nits prepared for the automotive industry. Tianma’s new OLED panels provide brightness and efficiency in phone screens.
one of the most striking panels exhibited by Tianma at the fair was the 6.78 inch SLOD AM-OLED. Using the Stacked Layer OLED Device structure, this panel stood out with 8,000 nits peak brightness and BT.2020 color space support. SLOD technology offers lower power consumption, higher brightness and longer panel life compared to the classic single-layer OLED structure. According to the technical information shared by the company, power consumption is reduced by 30 percent in the SLOD AM-OLED panel.
Brightness increases by 25 percent compared to single-layer OLED panels. Panel life is extended up to four times. These values are important for outdoor visibility, HDR content experience and long-term screen durability, especially on flagship phones. The value of 8,000 nits refers to the peak brightness level here. For this reason, it should not be interpreted as the panel providing a constant brightness of 8,000 nits on the entire screen surface.
However, in scenes requiring high brightness for short periods of time, especially in use under the sun and in HDR images, this level is quite assertive for phone screens. Another panel that Tianma showed was 6.32 inch FSD AM-OLED. This screen comes with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The panel uses a dual-line pixel drive architecture that separates data writing and TFT threshold compensation. This increases image stability at high refresh rates and provides a cleaner image in moving scenes.
Frame thinness was also one of the highlights on the FSD, or Full Screen Display, side. In this panel, Tianma achieved a frame thickness of 0.35 mm at the panel level and 0.6 mm at the module level. The screen-to-body ratio increased to 98.5 percent. These values show that phones are getting closer to the front face design that is almost completely covered with the screen. The 6.58-inch U11 AM-OLED panel focuses on low power consumption and low blue light.
The U11 OLED stack uses NFT structure based on New Fluorescent Blue and Phosphor-Sensitized Fluorescence. In this panel, power consumption decreases by approximately 12 percent compared to the previous generation, and its lifespan doubles. The RGB spectrum and light extraction design are also arranged to maintain a low blue light rate. Tianma’s 6.78 inch Non-dispersion CFOT panel was also among the phone screens shown at the fair.
CFOT technology integrates the color filter and black matrix structure into the screen instead of the traditional polarizer layer. This approach makes the panel thinner and provides advantages in terms of light transmittance and energy efficiency. Its non-dispersion structure reduces the effects of chromatic aberration and light scattering that occur when the viewing angle changes. The 6.9-inch Creaseless AM-OLED panel prepared for foldable phone screens was also included in the exhibition.
In this panel, Tianma used a structure that reduces visual wrinkles and finger-felt discontinuity in the folding area. Ultra-thin layer arrangement, low-loss adhesive materials, water drop twist architecture, multi-layer stress optimization and double-coated UTG structure are among the basic technical details of this panel. In addition to phone screens, the 12-inch Micro-LED IRIS HUD screen developed for the automotive side also attracted attention.
This system offers peak brightness of over 120,000 nits. The Micro-LED-based HUD solution projects information into the driver’s field of vision with an approximately 2 mm thick optical engine and transparent front window design. The high brightness level is used to keep the image readable even under direct sunlight. The 6.78 inch SLOD AM-OLED panel shown by Tianma also brought the OPPO Find X10 Pro claims back to the agenda.
In previously revealed information, it was claimed that Find Since the 6.78 inch size and BT.2020 support stand out on the panel exhibited by Tianma, there is a strong overlap between the two information.
