In the past days, Uludoğan Defense Industry Technology Inc. The nano-class unmanned helicopter NanoAlp, version 3.5, was first demonstrated at the DSA 2026 fair held in Malaysia. Speaking to Defensehere microphones at the fair area, Uludoğan Defense Chairman of the Board of Directors, Seyfeddin Cevdet Uludoğan, made remarkable statements about this NanoAlp nano-class unmanned helicopter they developed. Uludoğan stated that the current versions of the NanoAlp family already have many advanced features such as day and night cameras, obstacle detection sensors, optical flow and GPS-assisted flight, and said that they have made a significant engineering change in the new version.

Emphasizing that the most striking innovation of the new version is the removal of the “swashplate” mechanism used in classic helicopters, Uludoğan stated that this system creates serious mechanical difficulties, especially in small-scale aircraft. Stating that in the new method developed, propeller movements are instantly controlled with PWM signals via motor drivers, Uludoğan said that in this way, the function of the swashplate is imitated electronically.

Uludoğan said that this approach is a first for commercial use worldwide; He stated that Uludoğan Defense has achieved a first in the nano class unmanned helicopters class. NanoAlp 3.5 is in the Commercialization Phase. Stating that the 3.5 version of NanoAlp has now entered the commercialization process, Uludoğan announced that the first introduction of the product was made in Malaysia.

He stated that the version in question offers higher maneuverability and strong flight performance, especially in forested areas. “Customer-Specific Solutions are the Key to Success” Emphasizing that the customer-oriented approach is behind the company’s success and commercial success in the NanoAlp family, Uludoğan stated that they have a flexible product family that can develop special solutions for different needs.

Stating that they act with the agility that comes with being a Turkish company as well as a high-tech enterprise, Uludoğan stated that they will continue to develop new products according to the needs coming from the field.
