WWCOTY (Women’s World Car of the Year) jury, 61 female automotive journalists, will choose the car of the year in the world.

Members of the WWCOTY jury will initially select winners in six different categories. Candidate models are first City Car (Urban Car), Family Car (Family Car), Grand Sedan (Large Sedan), big SUV (Large SUV), Sports Car (Sports Car) and 4×4/Pickup It will be evaluated in the (4×4/Pick-Up) categories. Those who come first in their categories with the highest score will compete to become the best in the world in the final. Category winners will be announced on February 15, and the winner of the final will be announced on March 8, International Women’s Day.

The aim of this unique award is to determine the best cars of the year, as well as to give women a voice in the automotive world.

The purpose of the competition is not to choose a “Women’s Car” (because such a concept does not exist anyway) but to determine the best car for everyone, regardless of gender. The voting criteria are the same as those that any driver pays attention to when purchasing a vehicle: The jury members give their votes by taking into account factors such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving and environmental footprint.

This year’s awards are of great importance for the automotive world, which is experiencing great difficulties on the supply side due to climate changes and chip and semiconductor crises. WWCOTY, the world’s only jury consisting only of female automotive experts, has a rich audience of over 500 million people from different cultures and geographies, and the results are eagerly awaited by consumers every year.
