While millions of retirees’ holiday bonuses were not increased this year due to high inflation, increasing cost of living and difficult economic conditions, retirees received only 4 thousand lira holiday bonuses before Eid al-Fitr. While Eid bonuses started to be deposited into retirees’ accounts within the scope of Eid al-Adha, many retirees turned to seek additional financial aid before the Eid. In this context, Gaziantep Şahinbey Municipality announced a project that will make the needy and retired citizens in the district happy.

Accordingly, 20 thousand liras of holiday aid will be provided to a total of 18 thousand 60 families residing in the district. It was also stated that citizens receiving a pension of 20 thousand lira or less can also benefit from this aid. IT IS DEPOSITED INTO THE ACCOUNTS THIS WEEK Şahinbey Mayor Mehmet Tahmazoğlu announced in his statement on the subject that the total aid to be paid within the scope of the project will reach 561 million liras.

Tahmazoğlu used the following statements in his statement: “We are implementing a new project to make the faces of needy and low-income citizens residing in our district smile before Eid al-Adha. In this context, we will provide financial aid of 20 thousand liras before the holiday to retirees who receive a pension of 20 thousand liras or less, as well as to our citizens who receive social assistance. Payments will be transferred to our citizens’ bank accounts this week.
