Meta has launched new subscription packages for its three most used applications. Packages called Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus bring some additional features to the paid tier without removing the basic application experience.
In the new model, the monthly price for Instagram and Facebook is 3.99 dollars, and the monthly price for WhatsApp is 2.99 dollars. While subscriptions initially focus on additional features on the consumer side, separate plans for artificial intelligence users, content producers and businesses are also entering the testing process.
Paid packages bring different features in three applications
Instagram Plus provides more control, especially on the Stories and profile experience side. Subscribers can see the total number of times their Story content has been re-watched. Beyond the Close Friends option, features such as creating unlimited audience lists, advancing a story once a week for more viewing, increasing the story duration beyond 24 hours, and previewing stories without appearing in the audience list are also included in the package.

Additional features on Instagram are not limited to this. Users can search the story viewer list, use different fonts on the profile, access custom app icons, and use more pin space on the profile. There is also the option of adding posts directly to the profile and highlights and not showing this content in the followers’ main feed.
Facebook Plus comes with a feature set close to Instagram Plus. Here, there are options such as greater visibility around Stories, search in the viewer list, rewatch information, animated special reactions and changing the app icon. Increasing the standard 24-hour period for Facebook Stories to 48 hours is one of the notable innovations in the package.
WhatsApp Plus, on the other hand, focuses on the messaging experience rather than the visibility features on the social network side. Subscribers get access to app themes, custom ringtones, additional pinned chats, list customization options, and premium stickers. This package offers more personal settings on the interface and chat management while maintaining the simple messaging structure of WhatsApp.
The new Plus packages do not replace the Meta Verified subscription. On the Meta Verified side, titles such as verification badge, protection against imitation accounts and additional support are protected. Plus packages, on the other hand, are based mostly on in-app usage features, profile editing options, Story tools and personalization.
Meta is also starting to use the name Meta One to gather these subscriptions under one roof. In addition to consumer-facing Plus packages, the company is testing new subscriptions for Meta AI, content creators, and businesses in separate markets.
Two separate packages are being prepared for Meta AI. Meta One Plus will be tested at a price of $7.99 per month, and Meta One Premium will be tested at a price of $19.99 per month. Both packages will provide more visual and video production, higher processing capacity for complex requests and more intensive use with Meta AI. The premium package will open larger capacity, especially for queries that require high processing power.
Meta AI will continue to be available for free. However, the paid layer will come into play for those who use it more frequently, produce more, and want higher capacity for complex tasks. The first testing of the AI-focused plans will begin next month in Singapore, Guatemala and Bolivia.
Two separate Meta One plans are being prepared for content creators and businesses. Meta One Essential is priced at $14.99 per month and will offer a verification badge, spoof account protection, and an advanced link space that can show social channels and web links in one place.
Meta One Advanced will be a larger package priced at $49.99 per month. In addition to the features in the Essential package, this plan will include features such as showing in the Facebook feed, appearing higher in Facebook and Instagram search results, a more prominent follow button on the Reels side, sending automatic follow invitations to people who interact with the content, and directing a link to the website or store through Instagram posts and Reels content.
The Advanced plan will also include more advanced analysis tools. Tools such as deeper competition data on Instagram, special audience insights on Facebook, scheduling tools, giving account access to different moderators without sharing passwords, and receiving notifications if content is reused by other accounts will be part of this package.
Testing of the plans for content creators and businesses will begin in markets including Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Thailand and Bangladesh. Since these packages are currently in the testing phase, the global release date has not been determined.
